Ingredients (Serves 2)
Chicken
2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (6–7 oz each)
1 tbsp olive oil
¾ tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
½ tsp garlic powder
Guava Glaze
¾ cup guava paste, diced or ¾ cup guava purée
¼ cup water
1 tbsp lime juice
1 tbsp honey
½ tsp soy sauce
Step-by-Step Instructions
Pat chicken dry with paper towels.
Season both sides with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
Sear chicken 5–6 minutes per side, until internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
Remove chicken from skillet and tent loosely with foil.
In the same skillet, add guava paste, water, lime juice, honey, and soy sauce.
Stir constantly over medium heat for 3–5 minutes, until smooth and glossy.
Return chicken to skillet and spoon glaze over the top.
Simmer 2 minutes, flipping once to coat evenly.
Serve immediately.
